Tequila Atanasio comes from the small town of San Pedro de los Landeros, just 10 minutes northwest of the town of Tequila. The name Atanasio comes from Spanish and Greek roots, and means “immortal,” tying closely to the brand as they pay homage to Tio Atanasio, an agave farmer who lived to be 103 years old. You’ll see this number on the neck of the bottle in honor of him and his philosophy that “with a little bit of Tequila every day, one can live forever.” Now, with Maestro Tequilero Réne Carranza at the helm, Atanasio produces some of our favorite expressions of Tequila coming from the Valley. We believe that tequila is more than a drink; it’s a way of knowing places, getting together with loved ones, enjoying life experiences, and reminiscing on great moments. We want people to experience tequila in a different way. No matter how many years pass by, they will keep searching for it when they want to have a good time.
Aged for 3 years and 3 months in a single White American Oak barrel, then refined for an additional 2 years in a stainless-steel tank, this Extra Añejo Tequila achieves a distinct balance of depth and smoothness, showcasing the craftsmanship behind each sip. 100% Agave -43.2% ABV (86 proof).
